Rachel, Street Style Vol. 6

Life is busy.
If I've already gone home after work and you invite me out, chances are I'm probably already on my couch in jammies. So to avoid that dilemma I'll usually bring an extra pair of shoes with me to work on a night I think I might go out, like tonight! My friend Pam and I are grabbing drinks after work today.
From Sept until May you'll find me in my trusty Danskos (I have 3 pairs). They're seriously the only things that get me through a full day of walking and crouching on concrete floors. Here, I'm wearing my Dansko classic black boots with the new CMD Kristy Peplum Top and Mia Ankle Skinnies. Thank goodness they come up with an updated version of my boots every year, because I definitely wear the heck out of them.
When I want something a little sleeker and sassier to wear out, I like these mules by Kelsi Dagger. Not only do they look sexy, but the insides feels like butter. Their "Sangria" color brings out the "Bordeaux" in my pants.
Pam Coven is a badass woman.
I absolutely adore her. She's owned and operated the Hawthorne landmark, Imelda's shoes for almost 24 years! Like me, she works like a maniac and has an affinity for combining comfort and fashion into her daily look.
Her go-to shoes are her Frye moto boots.
Ladies….everyone needs to own a good pair of motorcycle boots and a good motorcycle jacket. These two looks will never go out of style. They are an excellent investment.
The boots and the jacket are two different colors, which really helps to make them more complimentary and less matchy-matchy. This jacket, is not only made out of theeee softest micro-suede, it is a nice neutral tan so it highlights all other colors worn with it.
Take for example Carla's newest Emma Sleeveless cowl paired with comfy cords. All the colors are so beautiful and stand out under that jacket. For drinks she chose to change into these gorgeous Maryjanes. I've totally got my eye on these bad boys....sigh.....
Can't Say Goodbye to Summer
I'm not 100% ready to bid farewell to Summer yet so I'll continue to wear my favorite sandals.
For a pop of color I added this petina'd cresent necklace by Forge+Fire. These sandals are simple and dainty enough that I can wear them with a dress as well!
