Rachel, Street Style Volume 2

I like to integrate my new clothing into my existing wardrobe. I like my closet to be as versatile as possible, and creating as many mix-and-match looks as I can is a great technique for my Portland life. I look for things that I can wear easily to a casual or dressy occasion, just by changing up my styling.
I snagged the new black and white striped EMILY COWL TOP immediately for this reason. I can just as easily dress this top up with a cute skirt or dressier pants, but I know that I'll mostly wear it like this - with a favorite pair of jeans. These are Hoxton Ultra Skinnies in a really clean "Indigo" wash. I have these jeans in two other colors as well. These jeans are amazing.
I'm excited to try my new striped 3/4 sleeve cowlneck top with my favorite skirt, the Carla Mink Minnie (featured in the last edition of Rachel Street Style). This comfy top will instantly be dressed "up" by wearing it with my favorite skirt.
The denim jacket I'm wearing is from Kut from the Kloth and I own it in blue and white as well. Whether I'm wearing it with a "dressy" outfit or with my jeans, the denim jacket WORKS. And it will never go out of style.
Like many Portlanders, I end up with a lot of dark colors like blacks and grays in my closet, so I like to add color to my looks with jewelry and makeup. This time I chose a pop of turquoise with my Forge and Fire earrings, and a hot orange matte lip color. Finally, I add my favorite belt which is probably the most colorful thing in my closet. Done, done and done.
